Battle Cries 03:38
This is the winter, this is the morning You are listening to your heartbeat through the window to your mind I cannot fathom how we'll do this We have entered new ground Lines and phrases fire in synapses Try and forget us, you never will Our stories are longer than we know Love is a particle and a wave Rivers in canyons deep and narrow Creep through crevices we once forgot Old and electric, cold and cryptic, Unrelenting in change You looked and my heart took a picture Crooked and strong and deliberate Iris, pupil, cornea, lens: These eyes, these battlecries

I've been walking down cemetery road Where I am nobody knows I have two friends that I will meet When I get to the end of cemetery road The stars are bright through the trees My skin grown cold on the breeze the moon will rise so I'm told When I get to the end of cemetery road The December wind sobers my head A man could die I've heard it said But to feel the warmth I'll brave the cold For to get to the end of cemetery road Been riding down cemetery road The end is near so the story goes And all my friends I'll see again When I get to the end of cemetery road

The Miles 03:57
What to do? Hallelu The stained glass will never save you Wasn't meant to What's the name of this game? For shame, for shame Running wild, forget to smile the miles, the miles, the miles The miles are calling you The roads are winding In the valley with no dreams Machines, with screens We can do it, they will show us the way Please don't vote us off Running wild, forget to smile The miles, the miles, the miles
4.
Moses 02:44
Moses, never pictured you sitting down Hands on your lap, to hide the defects Moses, they don't know how hard it is To keep your perspective till the finish You gotta breathe life into me You gotta believe in something Moses, what's up with those horns on your head? Fact or fiction? What's the difference? Moses, you were too busy parting seas To notice it's me, notice it's real

Saltshaker 03:23
I don't wanna be the other man Sneakin' round at night I don't wanna be the perfect man Walkin' in the light Don't want to exercise your intellect This won't require thought You just need a little seasoning Let me give you what I got I just wanna be your saltshaker I'm not talking about experience That don't mean much to me It just takes a little common sense To tell me what you need For all we know this could take all night I hope you've got the time Let's start out with a couple drinks, Tequila and a lime And then I can be your saltshaker Shake it, shake it, com on baby

I sit beneath a streetlamp parade Watching cancer pass through glass doors I let mine stay open-minded Turning to the wind to breathe "What is your sin?" I ask of the seven But I do not think they hear "Where are you going?" They look to the ground And wonder what they're doing here La da, la dee, la da... "Who are you?" I ask And see you, and see me One in the same, first two and then three Walking through glass, turning our heads To watch our whole lives fade away I sit beneath a street lamp parade Watching our lives fade away La da, la dee, la da...

Lineage 03:40
By the time you figure out I'll be halfway to Georgia History tells us "History repeats itself" And you're going to run again Your ancestors were hunters Wearing their guns over their shoulders The answers lie in your lineage And what's been passed on to your daughters By the time you figure out All the locks will have been changed Why should I believe? You say you want the key But I know you're going to run again
9.
Apples 02:38
Winding through suburbia Upon these poisoned greens Everyone is happy, everyone is free Everyone is tortured by materials and schemes They are blind Like the Santa Maria You'll find your ship will sink in time Whether Heaven or Nirvana When the heart it becomes cold I hope the apple trees are so old They bear fruit that tastes like wine I won't mind Laugh at life's absurdities Each storm will pass in time Persevere on through the darkness Both real and in your mind You'll do fine

I wrote a song today in the car on the freeway but the words never made it to paper. By the time I was home, they were gone. They never came back. The winds, they whipped around my shivering body. I found a weathered hearth and set some bits of trees on fire. I watched them burn up. Are you built for speed or soaring? Are you a falcon or a hawk? I think I could tell the difference if you'd just open up your wings. (Either way, you could kill me.) Dangerous bird
